Global organizations provide governments with recommendations on anti-conterfeiting trade agreement
New York, 25 June 2010
ICC's Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (BASCAP) and the International Trademark Association (INTA) today announced the submission of their joint recommendations and comments on the consolidated text of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA).

ICC urges G8/G20 action on counterfeiting and piracy
Toronto, 22 June 2010  The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the voice of world business, today called on leaders at the G8 and G20 summits to act decisively against counterfeiting and piracy.

ICC’s BASCAP launches Intellectual Property Guidelines in Cairo
Cairo, 8 June 2010   The International Chamber of Commerce’s BASCAP group today launched a set of intellectual property (IP) guidelines designed to help businesses manage copyright and branded materials and deter trade in counterfeit and pirate goods.

ICC calls for successful end to anti-counterfeiting negotiations
Brussels, 6 April 2010   ICC today called for a successful conclusion to the negotiations on the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) that have lasted almost two years even as risks to economic development, jobs, consumer safety and world trade remain at a high point due to the worldwide proliferation of counterfeiting and piracy.

1.2m jobs to be lost to piracy
Brussels, 17 March 2010  A new study released today by the International Chamber of Commerce’s BASCAP (Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy) initiative projects an alarming rise in piracy-driven job loss figures in Europe’s creative industries.
