ICC endorses joint EU-US plan to tackle booming trade in pirate and counterfeit goods
Paris, 7 July 2006
The International Chamber of Commerce strongly endorses the joint EU-US action strategy on counterfeiting and piracy as a major step forward in the fight against the galloping global trade in these illicit goods.

Putin assures ICC that global business concerns will be on G8 agenda
Moscow, 5 July 2006  Russian President Vladimir Putin, who will host the G8 Summit in St. Petersburg next week, met yesterday with International Chamber of Commerce Chairman Marcus Wallenberg to discuss world business priorities, including the critical state of the Doha trade round.

CEOs urge EU to step up fight against fakes
Paris, 27 January 2006  In a letter to European Union Commission President José Manuel Barroso, the Chairmen/CEOs of international companies who head up ICC’s BASCAP (Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy) project have said that fighting the counterfeiting of intellectual property and product piracy is one of the most critical steps the European Union can take to increase economic competitiveness.

Greater collaboration key to fighting counterfeiting and piracy says ICC Secretary General
Amsterdam, 25 January 2006  ICC Secretary General Guy Sebban today called for greater private sector engagement with law enforcement agencies in the fight against product counterfeiting and piracy.
