The Fifth Global Congress on Counterfeiting and Piracy 2-4 June in Cancun, Mexico, will discuss the rising tide of counterfeiting in Mexico, Central and South America.

21 October 2008, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia  The International Chamber of Commerce’s BASCAP group today released its Intellectual Property (IP) Guidelines for Business in the Middle East during a special session of the First Arab Consumer and Brand Protection Forum, Arab Protect 2008.

Strasbourg, France, 17 October 2008  The International Chamber of Commerce’s BASCAP group today launched a set of intellectual property guidelines designed to help businesses manage copyright and branded materials and deter trade in counterfeit and pirate goods.

Washington, D.C., 22 September 2008  The International Trademark Association and representatives from ICC's Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy initiative participated in a public meeting organized by the Office of the US Trade Representative today.

ICC targets ministers to advance IP protection at G8 summit
Paris, 6 June 2008  ICC has called upon G8 justice ministers and G8 foreign ministers to advocate measures for better intellectual property protection during the G8 Summit in Hokkaido Toyako, Japan next month.

Proposed multilateral agreement to combat counterfeiting moving forward
Brussels, 16 April 2008  ICC's Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (BASCAP) and the International Trademark Association (INTA) today welcomed news that the Council of Ministers had confirmed the proposed mandate authorizing the European Commission to open negotiations on the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) between the EU and key economic partners, including the United States, Japan, South Korea, Mexico and New Zealand.

New York, 3 March 2008  Industry leaders from around the world today unveiled new strategies to combat counterfeiting and piracy, including a set of urgent recommendations for a global anti-counterfeiting pact being negotiated by major trading countries.
